Millenial Liberator- Really?

You pay them back if they don't make it two years?

No way he does, but I'm sure it goes both ways...What if an agent is only on board for 3 months and a license they previously obtained expires? I doubt he is charging that person extra.

Also he said he is charging more, we don't know what more is. But since this is the final expense forum we assume he is running out of business and probably standing behind Travis' wife at the welfare office.

This just looks like you aren't making enough off the overrides so you need to make money off of fees. 2 years down the road most agents will be gone. Your system will have changed yet again. Your Broker system looks like it is for the new unsuspecting agent.

Agents won't need 40 states. I believe many agents can keep track of this themselves anyway.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, I believe agents do best when they only sell. This is just another thing off their plate. We are captive, you know that right?

Also, we pay the renewal, so if an agent is with us for two months, and has a renewal, we pay it. Its a good trade off, and it actually encourages agents to get more states to take advantage of this perk.

The more states agents have, the easier it is for us to deliver leads to them quickly.

Correct, we dont reimburse any access fees. Our monthly price was low anyway, so we've increase it for the first time in three years, and added an unlimited renewal pay out to it.

If anyone doesnt like that, they can certainly join the broker side of our business (still a good deal), or start their own telesales operation (which I've helped others do).

You asked a question about SL earlier and why many are leaving them. If the rumor I heard has any truth to it (and I don't see why it wouldn't), then that would explain it. I mean, I wouldn't stay with a company that calls my client for no good reason only to confuse my clients and get my business cancelled. Just what I've heard.

Whats your take on the reason why alot of the larger distributions are leaving SL? Gifford and Herrera come to mind?

That Herrera guy jumps ship every few years. You really think he's ever gonna be at one spot long term????

Big agents come and go and are constantly moving on from company to company

Not 100% sure but isn't he peddling GPM only over the phone???

Why don't you have any videos with a successful broker agent ? So far I have only seen the in house agents in your videos. Sounds like a unicorn to me.

Todd you're such a silly guy....lol. I don't mean any harm, but you don't know very much about SL. There is not "many leaving". There are the usual losers who leave, but that's true everywhere.
Remember, rumors are just rumors and don't have much credibility. Just like that rumor JD was touting that you don't really know the FE market. Not true...just a rumor....see what I mean?
You sound as if you may be worried that some of your agents have reached out to me ever since the super-preferred and preferred commission rates were raised to the top level. Call me and I'll set you up so you can contract all your agents with SL under your hierarchy. Don't you think that super-preferred are great, along with TV leads hot off the press, along with savings on the casket, vault, and monument for your customers?

Wonder if a mostly captive company like SL made in roads to an independent channel what that would mean to SL. Indepedent agents tend to use many of there carriers for niche issues outside there core company, Offering a competitive super preferred helps them, but I bet you would see more anti-selection "niche" buisness go there way by handing out contracts.

LH is non-competive on price but if you look at what the product is built to take it makes sense the pricing is Standard + 10% in most cases. 0-85 modified, DE, direct bill, multiple occurrence of CA, no build chart, insulin, asthma, etc.

Just sitting on a teain with nothing better to wonder about.
