My Medicare Advantage Experience Thus Far...

Todd, I stand by all my comments, and you've confirmed they are facts. As a marketer, I understand the need to paint things in a certain light, Im just simply sharing my personal experience which does not match your rose hue on the situation.

As to "coming across as a child", I find it odd how respectful and professional you are in private messages with me, but feel the need to take a different tone on the public forum.

Its nothing personal Todd, I simply think you're wrong on this one.

Ramiz, I'm taking on this tone because you want to continue to argue about something you know nothing about and it does show. At this point you are just making a fool of yourself. Now, if you want to talk about anything FE, especially a call center, then please have at it. Even if you do have some experience with Medicare Supps and Advantage plans, it obviously isn't very much. Therefore, you don't have very much to say about this that has any weight to it. Your arguments hold no water.

You've heard from some that are doing it, yet you keep saying it can't be done? Why? Just to try and prove you are right about something? Pick your battles. This isn't one that you should have picked at all.

I think it was Doug that said in another thread there is more than 1 way to skin a cat. Jd, as much as I really don’t like him, was a high producer who never wanted to get into Medicare or GI. He turned down what some would say is free money. He isn’t wrong for that as he is successful.

Jim cross sold and did fantastic. Just cause jd wouldn’t do what Jim did doesn’t make Jim wrong. Nothing wrong with having opposing views and different perspectives, no one has to be right or wrong.

Right is whatever is working for you!

I never said it wasnt possible. I simply said its a business model that I would not follow. Nothing offensive/controversial there, unless you have an agenda, which I have none.

This is the Final Expense forum, and some are advocating cross selling Medicare products to FE clients. I dont agree with that, I believe it will hurt agents long term income, this conversation is right in my wheelhouse.

Again, I hope the masses prove me wrong. You are right in one aspect though: I've proven alot of naysayers wrong as well when it comes to selling Final Expense exclusively over the phone. I wish the same success to those trying to sell Medicare products to final expense leads, but only time will tell.

Cheers.

Go back and read the old threads.. JD wrote Med Supps when the situation presented itself..

I think where the problem lies is a with a little miscommunication, which would include reading comprehension on one or both of us.

I do see now that your argument has been against cross-selling FE clients, not the other way around. Yes, I will agree that targeting FE clients for Medicare products isn't the best idea at all!

My whole argument was based on targeting Medicare clients and then cross-selling FE. There's money in that, and there's more money in that than doing FE alone. That's what my whole argument was and I thought you were saying that there is more money in FE alone.

If we have had our wires crossed here, my apologies.

I have a few dozen agents that are doing it very successfully that prove you both incorrect.

Nah, not incorrect. I just said it wasn't the best idea and it isn't. It's certainly not a bad idea to sell more than one product in a household if you can. Kudos on that.

My point is when comparing the two, you'll do better in the end if you are targeting Medicare and cross-selling FE and/or other products. That's been my whole argument.
