No POS?

They are two starking different critera. Balt will take current cancer, MI/stroke under two years, etc. Outside graded for Kidney disease which you can do level w Aetna I don't see the value.

so from what I see from those price quotes, you guys writing those two companies are not doing what's best for your client. SNL is much cheaper, they don't require a PHI and answers their phone in a very timely fashion.

I have been using KSKJ mainly for replacements when price is important, mainly tier 1 and 2. I just checked their graded pricing and they beat all three, without a nick in commissions!

Now I did those price comparisons without reading glasses and a little under the influence, so you might want to do your own math.

Okay so you say in one statement they aren't doing the best for their clients price wise....then you go on to say you only use kskj for replacements when "price is important". Wouldn't it be just as important when you aren't replacing?

Pricing is much more important when you are replacing. It is much easier to replace when your saving them money or getting them more coverage for the same payment.

when your writing new business you sell them on a perceived benefit for a particular payment. I often times recommend SNL over other companies that may infact be cheaper. I think there is a great benefit in dealing with companies that answer the phone in a timely manner.

How much calling the company is really needed? After it clears new biz? I have a few service calls here and there but it's not a large percent of my time, and the last thing I worry about when picking a carrier. LH has really nice customer service but so what?

If you write a carrier that has a good drafting process, the client shouldn't have to call into the company at all. I would not use that as a reason to write a client with a certain company.

Some companies draft correctly and some still do it manually, which turns into way more chargebacks.

No offense but I think you guys are missing the boat. Or maybe you guys haven't had to sell your entire life like I have. Sell the company and sell your self. It pays huge dividends in the long run.

You guys must have different FE buyers than I do. I get calls all the time from people who missed a payment, want to change a beneficiary, need to pull cash out. I called Globe and Colonial both last week and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes just to talk to a live person.

Today I spoke with Foresters and it took a good 15 minutes. I called UHL to make a payment and it took almost 20 minutes. I waited so long for Aetna I just hung up. I called KSKJ and SNL and had no wait time at all.

Often times when I am replacing a policy I will call and to get cash value it can take 15 minutes or more. The whole time, while on hold, I am bitching about how their customer service sucks. Then when I am done I say watch this; then I call SNL and when they answer right away I just say, sorry wrong number and hang up. then you look the guy in the eye and ask, which company would you rather deal with?

I'm with you there. I do a lot of service work. But I want it that way. I tell my clients to call me if they move, want to change beneficiary, make a bank change, want to add coverage, reduce coverage, even to cancel. I want them calling me and not the companies.

Most do just that because they don't want to sit there on hold or "press 1 or 2 or 3.." only to get some *** that doesn't have a clue about what they are calling for.

JD and NFL are spot on. I really like the "" "Or maybe you guys haven't had to sell your entire life like I have. Sell the company and sell your self. It pays huge dividends in the long run."" Every person I talked to today called me. They all had different agents years ago. I have only ever met one face to face. That was at a Starbucks in the Bay Area and they paid. All were referred by other people that had had other agents before me. They all have multiple policies and are buying more. All are "FE" or non med Permanent policies by phone, email or mail.

You guys and I do not write business the same, we seem to not write the same people and are on opposite side of the Country. But serving your, and other's, clients does pay huge dividends.

Like JD, I do not want my people calling the company. They belong to me. Not the company.
