Been 3 years since this has happened to me- but there seems to be a correlation- same neighborhood-

Talked to a lady over the phone, had AARP which the rates just changed on her- explained what she had and gave her a quote for a true whole and explained the difference- She was a lay down- she called me to confirm our appt (Which has never happened to me) Get to the house and a shirtless W.C Fields looking dude that was one double whopper away from a massive cardiac explosion with a face that scars many miles at the local bar answers the door and flies into a rage and threatens me.. couldnt get a word in, so he reaches behind his door and grabs an bat and proceeds to move toward me in a threatning manner-

I coulda really hurt him if I wanted to but being as I had another appt- didnt feel like having to fill out police report-

That's crazy. I've contemplated carrying while working, cause you never know what you'll run into, but wouldn't want a client/prospect to accidentally see it.

I had a nut job in a wheelchair, roll away from the table about a minute after we sat down, grabbed a huge butcher knife and started waiving it around threatening me. He invited me in, and things were going fine right up until that happened.

Knew another agent who was writing an app on a lady and her son walks downstairs naked with only a chefs apron on and put a pistol in the agents face. Luckily the son backed off when the agent pulled out his cell and told the guy he was calling the cops.

True, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Only twice in 7 years have I been worried/threatened. The wheelchair guy with a butcher knife, and a guy that lived in an RV. He had parole papers taped above the door inside, and random guns sitting around the RV (illegal to own as felon). Even with those crazies, I wouldn't have needed it.

You should be working right now!! LOLOLOL, guess we all deal with this from time to time. For some strange reason it has never bothered me to be called anything by anyone. Next time that happens, look them dead in the eye and say "Yes, you have no idea just how big of a mfer I really am"

I had a Chinese lady freak out on me in the middle of a mortgage protection presentation... She started running back and forth to the kitchen saying, "how dare you say we die, you no talk about that, you leave house", it was crazy, she left the room about 5 times within 3 minutes while her husband was trying to calm her down... but ya gotta understand, it was funny as hell with the Chinese accent... and she was truly upset!

I carry a full size Kimber .45 on my hip on all of my calls, concealed of course. Nobody even knows I have it.
