Wack Job Spouses

I carry a full size Kimber .45 on my hip on all of my calls, concealed of course. Nobody even knows I have it.

Hope you never need to use it, 1911's are very pretty, but unreliable as hell, now before you start let me state, I know what I am talking about. Better off with a modern day polymer design, take your pick, Glock, Springfield, my personal new favorite M&P SW models.

Im sure you are joking as well about concealing it on appointments:biggrin:

Why would he be joking. I carry and have a CCW. It actually sailed through since I was a licensed agent.

It is not an issue, I carry a small 9mm (Kel Tec p11) with a belt clip and is never visible on appts.

Why agents don't carry more often is more of a question. FE agents are in some pretty rough areas. They just need to be responsible and keep up with defensive training and practice at the range.

Range time is a great stress release.

Yea, Ive had my ccw for 20 years. I carry all the time, I just don't carry in their home. If I feel unsafe I wont enter. And yes, Im in some pretty shady areas myself all the time.

But here is the issue. If you had to employ your firearm in a self defense scenario there would be some consequences, even if you were right, in the eyes of the law to defend yourself. The problem is in most jurisdictions, you have to have permission to enter someones house or domicile, its not like shopping at walmart or your automobile. You are now entering their castle, thus like I said, in most jurisdictions you need their permission. You have to make your own call on this. Im a huge 2A guy and always have been, probably a little more to the extreme than most ccw holders, however, I err on the side of caution when entering a home and do not carry while inside.

You have to make your own decision when it comes to this. And I understand its better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6 at the end of the day

By the way, although a keltec p11 is a very small 9mm, I dont see how it is concealed with a belt clip unless it is an ITW clip or holster. Even then, you can't totally conceal with a tucked in shirt. Do you wear a sports coat?

I've got to disagree with you. My Kimber is the most reliable firearm I've ever owned. I've got over 5K rounds through it and the only time it gave me problems was when I tried to run some cheaper ammo through it.

I carry EVERYWHERE allowed by law. I carry on my hip with a polo untucked. I don't see the big deal about carrying into peoples homes, it is a concealed weapon for a reason. If something were to happen where my life was in immenent danger I would be glad that it was on me instead of in the car sitting idle.

Like I said, each person has to make that call. I understand and respect your decision even though I don't do it. By the way, see vid for 1911 truth, lol, and by the way, you should not have to have "certain specific" ammo to make your gun run, lol, just saying:D

No, it is a small metal clip fasten below the slide. No holster. I use it for inside the pant concealment. Kel-Tec CNC - P-11 Accessories - P-11 Belt Clip

Over time, the slide finish begins to wear. That is why I have gone through 3 of these guns the past 20 years.

The P11 has an optional built on spring metal belt clip. Much like a folder. While it is a fatty, it rides very low.

Wow. In NJ you can't carry a gallon of Milk. I lived and worked in a violent county
In Brooklyn NY for over 30 years. I was always wary, but confident. No one ever
Confronted me, while others got assaulted at different times. Here in NJ it's the
Middle class and Upper Middle class people I worry about. They are so stressed out, over things, they will snap or sue at any moment. The poorer hoods and towns are not as intimidating. Now , the East NY projects, that's a diff story. Your trapped in a 100 to 200 family apartment house. The staircases are frequented by drug gangs.

I'm not really concerned about something happening in a clients house. It's the walk back to the car in some of these neighborhoods. And nothing's more reliable than my S&W J frame. 5 in the gun and a couple speed loaders. I do love my Ruger SR9c IWB, but the revolver is so easy to carry.

I'm a big 2A guy and carry everywhere I can as well, and I try to stay away from places I can't.

The ridiculous idea of "gun free" zones would be laughable if there weren't so many tragedies that occur there.

GUN LAWS ONLY AFFECT LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.
