Does anyone know a top producer who door knocks. I'm not talking about someone working a lead program who goes to the house instead of calling and setting an appointment. I'm talking about someone who goes to the house with at most just a name hoping to get off a presentation.

Used to be that every top producer did it. I'm talking up to about the 1980's. Somewhere around the 1990's it became slightly out of style.

These days with so many crazy people out there, many people are afraid to open their doors to strangers. They won't even answer their phones unless they know who's calling. Door knocking has to be done when you see people outside these days. I like door knocking, but I can't see it being the number one source for marketing.

Out here, you would have to definitely be a glutton for punishment with 100+ degree weather! I think I will wait until the weather cools.

.....maybe. But a few years back when Verizon introduced FIOS into our county, this billion dollar company didn't make phone calls, they didn't send direct mail, they hired a company to go door to door.

So with all the money in the world, they knew what would return the best results.

Selling cellphone service door to door, selling meat door to door, is different than selling financial services. I'm not saying it doesn't work, because it does and I have done it. All I'm saying is the trend is that people are getting more afraid of strangers approaching them, so door to door may not be a good idea to be your ONLY source of marketing.

Exactly, why do you think c,ms is so adamant about people not knocking doors for med advantage?
