Securus Did It Again

Just checked out Settler website...looks pretty standard. So, you've had good experience with them?

OK, that's multiple folks with cred here making the same suggestions...for carriers. Sounding like a good way forward. LEADS are the next item up...??

Well you could go independent and just order your own DM or TM leads. If you have time, you could cold call leads from a dialer. There a ton of options.

What a bunch of **** -- I think I know the group you're apart of.

The Enrichment Program IMO is a huge mistake Securus is making.

You could sell final expense to 50 to 85 year olds ALL DAY with 5-Star, RNA, and Settlers.

Monumental is a great all-around carrier for FE, but, you've got another year before you get your release.

As far as lead generation goes. You won't be able to use Main Street Power Mail -- Securus does all their lead generation from there. They have some restrictive covenant.

I'd call up Chris Ethridge at leadconnections.com -- Everybody raves about his customer service and lead quality who's totally independent from lead-subsidizing IMOs.

Nevertheless, you can go through EFES, get RNA and Americo, and make a good living selling FE until you get releases.

I'll PM you EFES contact info.

PS: I WOULD attempt to talk to your upline -- either about getting a more viable contact percentage (85% minimum) or leaving and getting nothing.

You might be surprised that they might work with you.

I did just talk to my upline...I really like the guy, so approaching this will be a little difficult, but not enough to keep me from doing it for sure. I don't see the contract rate improvement happening. The requirements stated are 6 levels above me for 85% and has some stips about leg production, bla bla.

It's all red-herring, non-sequitor bullshit.

The bottom line is you're getting whoops-I-dropped-the-soap-in-the-Federal-Pen style.

Tell them what you know and you really like him alot. Tell him you also know other Securus reps are getting 85%+.

Tell him he can either make less of what you can produce, or absolutely nothing at all. Take it or leave it, what do you pick?

You're totally right. Got the PM by the way, but forum won't let me reply...so thanks. Well, my question then becomes: Do I speak about it to my direct upline or do I have to go to the agency manager? Would my guy even have the authority to do so? Only reason I'm asking so many specific questions is because I feel like I'm probably only gonna get one shot at it and want to do it in the right order...

If done through email, I would CC everyone who you think should be involved.

Be respectful, describe your situation and what you know about contract levels, as well as your other options (independent, EFES, etc.).

Express to them you'd really like to stay, you really like your upline, but it's totally a long-term lose-lose scenario if you don't get it changed, at least matching what others will do, *right away*.

Then let them decide if they'd rather get nothing, or less than they originally anticipated but more than the alternative.

Put a time limit on getting an answer, too. Tell them you need an answer, either way, by today or tomorrow. So you can take Friday and the weekend changing course if need be.

Good luck.

Awesome advice...contacted your guy, leadconnection, and getting prepped to do the above sequence. Deep breath...here we go...

Here's a whole new issue...I just had leadconnections run a count and for my entire county its about 5000. Umm, are there even enough potential clients here to run FE??

maybe I should get the list and knock on the doors...the criteria I used was 60-85 and 15k-50k. There are lots of uber rich subdivisions that don't fit the criteria, but I don't think that's the market...

Toss in the facts as well...street level for X company is 120% plus renewals, leads from Y company are $30...you appreciate the training but hardly worth it for 65bps.

I live right between Fort Lauderdale and South Beach Miami... We drive 2-3 hours just to get away from the city because it's a lot easier to sell in the stix/rural areas... So you should start to look at that!
