He is correct. Settlers Life requires you to be WITH the insured when taking the app. I wish i could do these on the phone. I would use them more.

Could most def write Silver and Bronze over the phone. Gold isn't really competitive anymore in most cases.

Not many Agents do it . . . Less than 2% of their policies are wrote via true TeleSales.

They have shelved the TeleSales till next year. Settlers just got approved on the crybaby Coast in WA and OR and in NY - all efforts are placed there at the moment.

Maybe that's part of the problem, too many "old farts" biding their time. They need to either start eating bacon, or get some younger blood at Settlers.

Or maybe they're not old enough. I miss Eddie Grills. I didn't always agree with him, but he was a real, legit insurance man! Seems like it's the youngsters in leadership there that are causing all the problems. When Settlers was a smaller, regional carrier, they were a really fantastic group to work with.
