Somebody CLARIFY This! SOCAL MARKET

My experience is this...

Newly licensed agents need SERIOUS training...

If the agency, in Matt's case it's Securus, doesn't have a manager or trainer that can take a brand new agent and train him properly, they shouldn't even take him...

Matt, the next step is to get your upline to set you up with a Ride-along day, so you can see HIM or another agent actually produce... If you have to drive 5 hours to do this, then do it!

I'm sure they will make this happen... especially since they know exactly who you are, and are reading this right now...lol
 
apparently you did not build the need.......
My two cents , build trust first. When I am concentrating on serving them first, I get the sale. when for whatever reason I neglected to build need upfront and hit emotional hotbutton (Build trust) I get nada.
 
AgentGuy I did a ride along already and saw how its done. I state again, this is not rocket science. If you doorknock it, if they want it, or are on the fence about it, you will sell it. If they out and out, don't want it, you are wasting your time. Obviously there are always objections to overcome and as an articulate person with prior sales experience I have no problem doing this. I am just not getting meaningful responses in this area for this product.

Perhaps you're not cut out for FE sales.

I know I can't sell it, now do I want to. So I focus on other products.

But you need to stop blaming everything except your lack of ability.

Then it must be the area. Buy leads in 3 different Zip codes and test the areas. Rinse and repeat. Not rocket science.

I once felt the same way and had to take a hard look at what I was doing. What I found was it wasn't the things I was or wasn't saying, it was the general vibe I was putting out. I know it sounds trite but people really don't care what you know they want to know you care. I came across as lecturing folk.

As for leads, sometimes you get bad batches, sometimes you get good. But I would also recommend another ride along with a seasoned agent who does credible FE business numbers wise.

Also some have recommended moving to a more rural area than Compton, North Long Beach, and Lynwood. It may help.
