Door Knockers

We have been lucky to get half of the leads into appointments lately.

However, after we burn the leads that aren't interested over the phone, I am left with people who never pick up the phone, and people without contact information listed, and I go see them in person.

As of late, I am closing around 60% to 75% of the door knocks I am doing.

But with all that said, maybe it's the Monkey Dust. But out of all the agents I've talked to that have lasted longer than 6 months, all do a combination of door knocking and phone-based appointment setting. Very few exclusively set appointments 99% of the time over the phone.

Just started cold door knocking this week. First two days it was 105-110 degrees, couldn't stay out too long. Third day I was in the wrong area...people smoking crack and just trying to survive another day. Definitely got to be planned up and prepared with a good walking list. I think buying a list or aged leads would be better.

.....maybe. But a few years back when Verizon introduced FIOS into our county, this billion dollar company didn't make phone calls, they didn't send direct mail, they hired a company to go door to door.

So with all the money in the world, they knew what would return the best results.

Yes so true and I was a top producer selling verizon's competiton back then, Att Uverse. There is money to be made door to door canvasing but Its hard work... So much extra work vs buying direct mailers and working those.
