Seminar Presentations

Very impressive. I am trying to get to 30 posts so I can IM you to ask about your consultant. Not sure why this message board requires 30 messages before you can PM. I guess they do not want people signing up and recruiting.

This year I will write alittle over $12M in FIA's and about $4M in managed money. My goal next year is to write $18M in FIA's with a stretch goal of $24M plus about $8M in MM. I can figure out how to get to 24, but with my averages I do not see how my schedule would allow much more production. I have often wondered how reps write $60M+.

Matt

Matt,

May I ask how many seminars you throw in a year?

Who are doing seminar for medicare in senior centers, churches and such? I am looking at getting in them. I sell med sups and have done public speaking. I want to do more of an educational approach and not sell at the seminar but meet the seniors after that.

Any ideas would help.
Thanks,
Dave

Clois,

I'm very interested to see what you're up to, being that I just realized you work with the legendary Phil Cannella. I don't work with him personally, but I have watched some of his seminars over the internet and read up on his approach - also read his articles in Senior Market Advisor. This man is a powerhouse as far as how he runs his seminars! I'm sending you a PM.

I have done many and finally stopped. For the most part they are not as productive as I hoped they would be. The concept sounds great but the production I received from them wasn't.

Get an existing client to invite a few friends over who are also paying too much for their Med Supps. Meeting with them in small groups at a client's home is almost a guaranteed sale. Offer to bring the food for a brunch or lunch.

Passing out little "party favors" really makes your client look good. One of the things I use to hand out is a little pocket knife like a Swiss Army knife. Very inexpensive, just a few dollars, and the women love it.

In addition to a knife blade it has a can opener, corkscrew, screwdriver, and scissors. It also has my title, Your Insurance Agent, and toll-free number engraved on the handle.

Have done several that have been successful and productive...

The title is: CAUTION: Medicare Can Be Hazardous To Your Health - A Senior Survival Workshop.

Segments on Medicare, LTC and market calamity (with annuities as a potential solution).

Good title and the concept sounds good.

I can see why seniors would show up because it is unique. Not the same old estate planning seminar, IRA, etc etc

Great "grabber" title Moonlight.

Have you considered doing them online?
