Weekend Lead Generation / Sales Testing . . .

Insurance Agents aren't the ones going D2D for the leads - using stay at home Mom's, Dad's, and High School / College kids.

Me and my buddy did it as a test. So - we couldn't let on we were Agents.
First, you ARE agents which means you are 10x better than any person who will canvas, so your lead cost will be way higher then what you tested. Second trying to manage 100's of canvassers in different states, towns, cites etc. will be a nightmare. Captive agents will need to be paid W-2, so taxes will suck, and the cancel rate will be 70%. You will need the upfront cash flow so. you must take a 9th advance, but then you have the bigger CB.

Correct . . . Carrier will pay out 50% and we will pay out the Bonuses. Agents can earn up to 75% base - but the increase up to the 25% will be paid by us as earned each month. No way I'm getting burned by debt rollup this time around . . .

Plenty of overhead we have to pay. Going to start small and if we grow - we grow.

Its not going to grow. Your so called technology is Flintstonian. There is not one good reason to knock on doors to find leads to telemarket? Why not set up a couple more phones and employees to cold call lists to find leads? This whole insurance plan of yours is as cheezy as a box of Cheez Its.

No I am not J.D, but I am sure he would approve of this post!

Helps if you look a little like a cop, too. I used to have people stop me on the way to a door and ask, "You a cop?".

I worked some low income areas once, but they didn't think I was a cop. Must have looked more like a social worker. They thought I was coming to take their kids away.

That's when I became a white version of Hoke Colburn (Morgan Freeman) in Driving Miss Daisy.

No'm. Jess comin to talk a little shorance.

I have to admit it, that movie gets me every time at the end when he feeds pie to Jessica Tandy.

Why is that a bad deal? Made awesome ROI . . .

You didn't make anything yet. The customer needs to make their payment and stay on the books.

By door knocking you are competing with face to face agents who have a much wider variety of products and companies That most telesales organizations don't have.

Plus anyone that is willing to pay 40 bucks to call someone back has lost their mind. You can literally get a live tv transfer for that price.

This is creative, but I don't see it working. I'm not trying to be negative man, just sharing a perspective with you that maybe you didn't consider.

I anticipate the lead cost to be at or below $40 after fine-tuning the process.

Second trying to manage 100's of canvassers in different states, towns, cites etc. will be a nightmare. C

Yes - that would. We are just doing our local area with a 75 mile radius at the moment. Nothing big.

Captive agents will need to be paid W-2, so taxes will suck, and the cancel rate will be 70%. You will need the upfront cash flow so. you must take a 9th advance, but then you have the bigger CB.

Agents are 1099 Contractors and earn their base 50% commission direct from the Carrier. Only the Bonuses are paid via W2. Taxes are what they are. We pay the Lead Generators via W2 - not a big deal - it's all automated.

6 month advance is all we'll take.

Actually - the technology is light years ahead. I'll know how many feet a LG drives and walks . . . I'll know what house they knocked and what time they got there and when they left. With our Wearable Bluetooth Video Cam - everything is known.

Keep in mind - we create leads for more services / products than just Insurance with our knocks. If we didn't - we'd just buy lists and tele-market . . .

This may or may not work. I could write a book on How Things Don't Work . . .

p.s. - I love Cheez-Its!

We get paid our 6 month advance tonight for the sales made yesterday. If it doesn't stick - we are well aware that the unearned portion is charged back . . . #NotRocketScience

Then we better do a GREAT job of establishing a relationship with the client. We anticipate a 75% 1st year and 65% 2nd year persisitency . . . Carrier isn't a newb so they are okay with those #'s since they see them already from others . . .

Plus anyone that is willing to pay 40 bucks to call someone back has lost their mind. You can literally get a live tv transfer for that price.

Agents don't pay that price. That is the pricing the Call Center will pay for the lead from the lead company, which is also us . . .

Direct Mail leads are $30 to $38 - D2D leads will hopefully be of better quality. We just don't know yet. So far - so good! 10 leads and 3 policies + still 1 appt tonight and 4 leads to call back . . . If we dont write another policy - still created a $1600+ advance with a $500 expense ( virtual in this case )

We'll know by end of summer if it was a good idea or not . . .

Are you trying to say you will also be selling these leads to the Avon Lady, roofers, siding installers, awning installers, water softner salesman, and more? And it will all be video taped.?

Correct. We generate leads for DirecTV, DISH, Security Systems, Lawn Care, Pest Control, Roofing, etc on the same knock . . .

We run a FE address - then square knock the homes around it for the other services. We even leave a door hanger that has coupons on it from local businesses that pay for that service . . .

Correct on the Video / Audio.
